Albany, NY’s St. Patrick’s Day parade dates back to 1951.

When:

The Albany, NY Saint Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12 pm to 1:30 pm EST. For more information, please visit the Albany St Patrick's Day Parade website. Where:

The Parade will travel from Quail Street and Central Avenue to Washington Street, to State Street, turn at City Hall and end at Pearl Street.

Who is in the parade:

The parade now includes representatives from Albany, NY's Irish groups including:

  • Irish pipers,
  • step dancers and
  • organizations


According to their website,

A mass will be held at 9am at Blessed Sacrament Church on Central Avenue before the parade congregates. The parade will step off at 2pm.

What to bring

If it is a cold day, bring a warm hat, warm gloves, and warm shoes. For a sunny day, you’ll want to bring sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. The parade goes on rain, shine or snow.
